Would I Lie to You?

Since JMA was established, we’ve been big believers in flexible and remote working. In order to get to know our colleagues even better and have some good, light-hearted fun in the process, we have an icebreaker at the beginning of every weekly team meeting.

Our latest was “Would I lie to you?”, a game in which we all shared something that may or may not have happened at any time in our lives, and we then voted on if we thought the person was lying or not.

We had a lot of fun doing this! Believe it or not, it turns out that various of our JMA colleagues (and we won’t embarrass them publicly) have:

  • Eaten a raw potato as a drunken dare
  • Dressed up as an Oss maiden at the Earl of Rone festival
  • Eaten llama hot pot and bat’s head, and drunk snake’s blood while on trips abroad
  • Unknowingly dated two people simultaneously who turned out to be cousins, finding this out only when they turned up at date number one’s house to see date number two there too!

We’d love to know what your favourite ice-breakers are, so please share!
